Environmentally Friendly Sustainable Fabric

Carbon reduction is the current world trend, and the textile industry is also actively exploring in the field of environmental protection and renewable.

At present, the types of renewable fabrics used in the protective clothing industry include: recycled polyester, recycled aramid , recycled viscose and cotton.

For a long time, plastic products have been criticized because they consume non-renewable energy such as petroleum and are difficult to be degraded naturally. The recycled polyester and recycled nylon materials can be spun into new polyester fibers by recycling bottles, nylon yarns, etc., which can be used in clothing, gloves, hats and other fields to reduce oil consumption and achieve the goal of carbon reduction.

Recycled aramid is recycled by recycling aramid waste yarn, aramid fabric trimmings, aramid fabric products, etc., through re-spinning, re-weaving and other processes to achieve aramid recycling.

PLA polylactic acid fiber and viscose (including modal and tencel) are taken from natural renewable raw materials, and the finished product is degradable. For example, the raw material of polylactic acid fiber can be obtained from corn and degrade to produce carbon dioxide and water; viscose can make full use of waste cotton staple fiber, wood scraps and other cellulose-rich materials through a series of processes such as sulfonation and finally spin into fiber; Modal and Tencel refined material selection and production process, the fiber performance is better, and it is a better grade viscose.

As a traditional fiber, cotton has a good advantage under the current trend of environmental protection. Cotton fiber is a natural renewable fiber. The cotton plant absorbs a large amount of carbon dioxide during the growth process to achieve a carbon fixation effect, which is beneficial to the reduction of carbon dioxide in the air. Cotton fiber made into clothing and other products is naturally degradable, and hardly generates harmful gases, and does not cause too much pressure on the environment. It is an excellent continuous renewable fiber.

Tomax's R&D team has spent a lot of time researching this type of fabric. If you are also interested in it, please contact us for more details.
